At-home long-term assistance

At-home care support program

We provide the following assistance to both insured persons and their dependents who are 60 to 74 years old and require long-term at-home care.
Note that this assistance covers the portion of services received via long-term care insurance that exceeds the payment limit.

Application procedure

Notes:	* People aged 75 or older are not eligible because they fall under the Medical Care System for the Advanced Elderly.

Program types and assistance criteria

1 (A) Long-term care equipment purchase assistance	(Equipment) Electric beds Gatch beds Lifting devices and bathtubs Portable bathtubs Wheelchairs and wheelchair lifts Walkers, canes, and hearing aids Anti-slip floor mats Portable toilets, etc.	(A) Assistance is provided once per item and covers up to 50% of the purchase cost. However, there is a limit of 250,000 yen per item. The assistance limit for any given person is 500,000 yen.
1 (B) Long-term care equipment rental fee assistance	The same as (A)	(B) The assistance covers up to 80% of the actual rental cost of each item. However, there is a limit of 5,000 yen per month. The assistance limit for any given person is 10,000 yen per month.
2 At-home long-term care service assistance	Cost of employing home caregivers	up to 70% of each usage fee However, the assistance amount is limited to 7,000 yen per day, and there is a limit of 100 days total per year.
3 Temporary care assistance	Use of temporary care institutions
4 Assistance related to at-home nursing (day service)	Use of day-service institutions
5 At-home bathing	Service assistance	up to 70% of the usage fee for mobile bathing vehicles However, the assistance amount is limited to 7,000 yen per day, and there is a limit of two days per week.
